Tamara Reik, violin
Tamara's lifelong love for the violin began at age 7 with Cynthia Bush at St. Bridget's Elementary School. Destined to become a music educator by age 9, she received invaluable mentorship in the Parma City School District from Dr. Laycock. She also performed under his baton in the Baldwin Wallace Youth Orchestra Program. She pursued her passion, studying Music Education at Cleveland State University, where her violin Professor, Daniel Rains, strongly supported her focus on string pedagogy. Tamara later returned to Baldwin Wallace to teach the String Ensemble and String Orchestra. Her participation in the Parma Symphony Orchestra is a special homecoming.
Now in her 20th year in the Euclid City Schools, Tamara teaches Orchestra to elementary and middle school students. Her participation in the Parma Symphony Orchestra is a special homecoming.
Tamara and her husband, Regan, are the proud parents of four children who continue to thrive in their musical and dance pursuits as adults. She is deeply grateful to her Ma, Dad, and brother for attending her concerts for over 45 years.
