Mary Jo Mallchok
Mary Jo started playing with PSO after retiring from teaching orchestra in Lakewood City Schools. She began studying viola at St. Charles Borromeo with Joanne Potting as her private teacher and Wayne F. Miller as her orchestra director. She later majored in viola at Cleveland State University earning a B.M. and an M.Ed. In addition to playing viola, Mary Jo sings second alto in the Baldwin Wallace Women’s Chorus.
Mary Jo is thankful to the many teachers, colleagues, and friends who have supported her throughout her career. She is grateful to Dave, Vince, and Sophia for their love and support. It’s a wonderful opportunity to work with Dr. Laycock and all the many talented musicians in PSO.
